The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing HR partnership and leadership to assigned clients groups. This individual will develop and implement HR initiatives focused on achieving business objectives.

This position is part of the Human Resources Department and will be located in Lodi, California. This position is supporting 2nd and 3rd shift between the hours of 12am-10am, however, the hours can be flexible on schedule options. the At Cepheid we make it easier and faster to access the test results you need, when and where you need them.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Advise, influence and guide all levels of management on HR implications of business strategies and all aspects of people management and leadership.

  • Partner with HR and management in organizational assessment and diagnosis to revise business strategies into actions that deliver results and improve organizational capability while maintaining an enterprise viewpoint.

  • Anticipate the need for change and influence change proactively. Consciously strive to build networks of support for change goals and objectives.

  • Provide guidance on and help conduct the investigations of complex complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organizations exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals, and facilitate appropriate action based on established practices.

  • Conduct gap analyses and ensure appropriate career development programs and initiatives are aligned with critical skill development and succession planning for designated functional teams.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field plus 5 years' experience in an HR.

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statues etc. which govern employment policies and practices.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; articulate and persuasive communicator.

  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.

  • Experience working with HR database.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • PHR or SPHR certification.

The annual salary range is ($110k-$135k). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
