What you will be doing:

  • Managing receipt of due diligence and ensuring all necessary participants receive copies
  • Assisting with drafting commitments
  • Preparing escrow analyses
  • Preparing reconciliation of application fee and third-party costs
  • Preparing C&D commitments on Fannie Mae deals
  • Generating accounting workbooks for review by Closing Officer and coordinating with Loan Funding and the warehouse lender to set loans up for funding
  • Ensuring that data in New Horizon is complete and accurate throughout the process
  • Ensuring all information is sent to the Warehouse Bank in the allotted time before closing; confirming with them that they have all the information ready
  • Authorizing funding of the loan the morning of closing
  • Other skills related to building a career in HUD Closing
  • Communicating and problem-solving daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel
  • Other skills related to building a career in HUD!

The education and experience we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, ideally in closing and delivery of HUD/FHA loans

What skills you should have:
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience in closing loans in both the multifamily and the healthcare industry
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data quickly, make decisions based on imperfect data, and take action in order to assist the team in moving its transactions forward
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation and change and willingness to take initiative to accomplish change
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute solutions to complex issues and transactions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Salesforce, Box, Microsoft Word and Excel software and use of the Internet
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
