Position Summary: Oversee the provision of casework services for the program.

Principal Responsibilities:

1.Review intakes and assign new client cases to Case Managers.

2.Provide weekly individual supervision from a trauma-informed perspective to social work staff and social work interns.

3.Assist with onboarding, training and coaching of new employees.

4.Complete annual staff performance appraisals, evaluate worker performance on an ongoing basis and conduct performance improvement plans and disciplinary action, where appropriate.

5.Provideperson-centered trauma-informedcasework/case management services to clients, including: assessment; information and referral; applications for entitlements and benefits; developing case plans; arranging for provision of services; advocacy on behalf of clients; and supportive counseling. Provide case coverage for workers who are out of the office

6.Develop and maintain knowledge about programs, benefits and psychosocial topics relevant for our specific client population. Disseminates relevant information to staff.

7.Organize, facilitate, and assist at social, recreational and other group activities and events for clients

8.Develop and maintain systems for client monitoring and record keeping utilizing client database. Review case records for quality assurance.

9.Prepare monthly statistical reports as required. Track and provide additional data for grant funding and other reports as requested.

10.Ensure all work is completed within organizational and departmental guidelines/timeframes.

11.Substitute for the director in her/his absence.

12.Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.

13.Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

14.Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSW required; LMSW preferred.
  • Experience in the provision of casework services.
  • Experience in supervision preferred.
  • Supervise volunteers for friendly visiting and telephone re-assurance program, interviews new candidates, attends HSP volunteer team meetings and facilitates at volunteer group activities.
  • Able to work with clients with mental health diagnoses.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other technology.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.


  • Working Conditions/Physical Demand:Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, wet and humid conditions, andunsanitary conditions in client homes.
