Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking a dynamic candidate for the Human Resources Coordinator/Payroll position located out of Sheridan, AR. The HR role will be responsible for managing all human resources related functions for the AR manufacturing plant with a Teammate count of around 100+. This HR role will work remote to other HR professionals, so a fast- paced, self-starter with a positive attitude is paramount to success. This role is a true "generalist" role as the responsibilities range from benefit administration to termination processing. This role will give you the opportunity to help develop talent, work closely with our leadership team and be a part of Nucor's ongoing success. The major duties of this role include:

  • Division administrator for EAP, HRIS', time keeping and leave administration systems. Division point person for expense reporting and travel administration.
  • Responsible for the full recruitment process lifecycle (job postings, phone screening/interview setup, sending offer letters, etc.), on all open roles including conducting the New Hire Orientations.
  • Setup, maintain and administer job testing processes, to include entry level testing.
  • Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of Nucor personnel policies, sick leave, disability, FMLA, military and other programs while administering them within federal/state laws. Leave administration includes worker's compensation.
  • Responsible for helping to facilitate all Teammate training needs, especially Nucor Culture and Leadership training. Responsible for all HR reporting requirements, such as EEO-1, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Responsible for participating in the rollout of annual HR projects such as: the annual merit review process and benefits open enrollment.
  • Responsible for the full separation process lifecycle (participating in the final disciplinary steps and handling any termination meetings, if needed, completing exit interviews for those leaving voluntarily, final benefit and COBRA administration, etc.).
  • Responsible for personnel, medical, I-9 and EEO file administration. Other duties, special projects, and responsibilities, as assigned.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience working with core HR information in a generalist capacity OR an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience working with core HR information in a generalist capacity is required. A strong emphasis on HR administration is required.
  • Strong PC computer skills with everyday experience working with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of HRIS programs is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An HR certification is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge in SAP/ SuccessFactors is preferred
