Purpose of Job:

Serves as a human resources partner and liaison to a designated business unit by executing HR strategies that meet organizational objectives. Deliver innovative, responsive, and effective human resource services and programs which meet the dynamic and diverse needs of the Enterprise leadership, and its team members to support business goals. Be a strategic partner to specific business units.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Unit Expertise (60%):

  • Partner with management to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives of the company.
  • Participate in all appropriate business unit meetings, events, and functions (i.e., regional, departmental, staff, team, training, leadership, operations, sales, events, tradeshows, and conventions).
  • Assist with succession planning, acquisition integration and change management of business units.
  • Analyze and provide relevant data by reviewing reports; budgets, sales, attrition, financials, etc.

Strategic Development (20%):
  • Develop and implement HR / talent management strategies and solutions to proactively address business needs.
  • Lead, guide, and consult in the areas of developing and implementing policy and procedures, oversee and participate in processes pertaining to recruitment, retention, terminations, promotions, compensation, benefits, employee relations, team enhancements, talent management, performance, and legal compliance with state, federal and country regulations.
  • Lead HR project teams to include planning, analysis and presentation of recommendations having department or company-wide implications.

Team Member Development (20%):
  • Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues. Assist with team building and conflict resolution.
  • Conducts investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, benefits issues, and work-related disputes.

  • May supervise others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations (depending on talent management organization structure).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Professional Human Resources designation preferred, such as CCP, SPHR, or CEBS.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years generalist experience with progressively increasing responsibilities managing complex HR issues.
  • Possess exceptional leadership, interpersonal, communication and execution skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Project management and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Previous supervisory experience with exempt and non-exempt personnel.

Scope Data:
  • Interacts regularly with VPs, Directors, and managers to recommend and resolve issues.
  • Budget and headcount responsibilities, in partnership with Finance, Business Unit leaders, and Talent organization.
  • Manages HR team members, depending on organization structure.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle and talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 25+ lbs.
