Compensation: $20.24 hourly

The housing coordinator serves as a member of the interdisciplinary ICTS team and coordinates housing services in collaboration with ICTS team members, program consumers, community partners and agency programs in order to assess housing needs for program referrals as well as identify, procure and achieve housing stability for vulnerable individuals and families in the ICTS program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Outreach, engage and provide direct support to consumers in ICTS Pilot to assess housing needs, coordinate linkage of and assist with identifying, accessing and securing appropriate housing resources
• Attend all ICTS team meetings
• Coordinate with other ICTS staff/team members to support consumers in becoming housed and to achieve housing stability to reach successful ICTS completion and integration into the community
• Coordinate with NAR accredited housing providers
• Coordinate with other sober living providers as needed
• Comply with all applicable housing and ICTS program rules and regulations
• Conduct home inspections to ensure property meets basic habitability standards
• Ensure timely payment to landlords for consumers receiving ICTS funding assistance
• Collaborate with other providers as needed
• Attend all meetings with stakeholders as assigned
• Work closely with DOC and DBH
• Promote and develop tenant engagement through activities and education
• Eviction prevention
• Community engagement
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders, police, neighbors, local businesses and potential resources
• Participate in the Continuum of Care meetings as assigned
• Act as a Clinical Services Liaison
• Encourage landlord engagement
• Foster positive relationships with community landlords
• Facilitate communication with landlords
• Identify potential new landlords
• Conduct group education activities to promote life skills to sustain safe, stable and affordable housing

 



EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least four (4) years experience in human services required if Bachelor’s degree is not obtained
• Ability to articulate and operate within the Housing First Model required
• Working knowledge of available housing subsidy programs and other potential housing resources required
• Strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills required
• Significant in-state travel; valid driver’s license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage required
