Compensation: $17.37/hour

Compass Health Network is seeking a Housekeeping Department Supervisor to provide support services to the assigned facilities with regard to maintaining and cleaning the facilities including offices, restrooms, showers, equipment, physical plant and grounds in order to provide a safe and clean environment. Provide direct supervision to the facilities other custodial technician staff. Must have working knowledge and understanding of general housekeeping & cleaning methods, and general maintenance methods and procedures.

Responsibilities of the Housekeeping Department Supervisor

• Address custodial service complaints hospital-wide; meet with custodial team to find and implement a resolution
• Assign extra task/duties to the team as needed to handle the day-to-day workload
• Respond to questions and emails regarding custodial department and staff
• Address internal conflict among custodial staff
• Inform and train teams on all shifts of new, improved, or implemented procedures
• Train new employees
• Coach and educate existing employees
• Clean interior rooms and work areas, carpets and furniture
• Empty trash and replenish supplies as assigned
• Perform general maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, changing bulbs, plunging toilets, assembling furniture, water temperature adjustments, and buffing floors
• Assist in maintaining and tracking inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, and consumables
• Assist in receiving materials and supplies, restocking materials and supplies, and notifying appropriate staff of low materials and supplies

 

 

EDUCATION

High School/GED preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least two (2) years experience in institutional housekeeping or janitorial operations preferred
