Job Description:
The Office of Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology seeks a highly detail oriented Health Surveillance Specialist Intern to review data spreadsheets for completeness, accuracy (checking statistical testing), data governance adherence (for example small number suppression), and proper citation; populate fact sheet templates with data from the spreadsheets; and lead communications between epidemiology staff to make sure deadlines are met. This is a temporary assignment related to work required to complete the Title V Needs Assessment.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

A general qualification guideline would be a Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Statistics, or Health Education and several years of experience in data analysis, statistics, and interpretation of epidemiological data in the relevant disease/health subject area. Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.

Other:

Must be currently enrolled in a college or university.
