JOB SUMMARY

Oversee the daily operation of the Guest Services
Department. In the absence of the General Manager, or at the GM's
direction, responsible for the efficient and economical function of
every aspect of the property. To meet our owners and guest expectations. To provide a safe and opportunistic environment for our employees.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1. Prepare and adhere to budget for Guest Services Department (to include purchasing and accruals). Codes and tracks all departmental expenses to ensure compliance with budget constraints.
2. Oversee daily work of Guest Service Supervisors, Guest Service Agents, Night Auditors and Bell staff, to insure established standards are adhered to.
3. Prepare schedule to be in line with the staffing guide, review payroll to include monitoring of time punches and hours to reduce/eliminate overtime (Kronos)
4. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
5. In the absence of the General Manager, or at the GM's discretion, responsible for
the efficient and economical function of every aspect of the property.
6. Manage, supervise and direct all weekly and EOM reporting requirements of the
Resort.
7. Develop long term Guest Service goals with an ongoing training/coaching plan
including but not limited to the continuance of monthly meetings held with guest
service agents, night auditors, bell staff and guest services supervisor as well the company wide guest service culture training.
8. Work hand in hand with the Housekeeping / Maintenance Departments to
minimize deficiencies and ensure the properties' compliance with all permanent
MVW Brand Standards.
9. Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA/HIOSH regulation, including upkeep of MSDS for department. Also, knowledge of and adherence to Hotel emergency and evacuation plans and communicating same to Housekeeping personnel
10. Perform monthly safety training according to AAH requirements.
11. Must inspect VIP and Owner Unit Arrivals.
