No Weekends! Work schedule is Monday - Friday on 1st/Day Shift. Includes comprehensive benefits and generous paid time off, paid holidays, and paid volunteer days.

What you will be doing:

Cooks, prepares, presents, and serves food items according to the recipe. Ensures that food is prepared in a manner, which is nutritious, safe, visual appealing, accurately flavored and in compliance with Department, USDA, and accrediting agency standards for quality. And other duties as assigned.


  • Using recipes to prepares various RTE foods and other pantry menu items.

  • Communicates and coordinates daily with Lead Cook and or Manager on strategies to accomplish production and maintain quality standards.

  • Ensures daily Mise en Place are ready for service and daily production of meals.

  • Records, and reports amounts produced, amounts left over of meal service accurately in compliance with Department and local health department regulations.

  • Cleans work area throughout the day. Maintains standards for sanitation and cleanliness by following standards for "clean as you go" and scheduled routine cleaning. Cleaning duties may include, but are not limited to equipment, cooking equipment, utensils, serving area, dining area, floors, walls, baseboards, and storage areas.

  • Assists in proper labeling, dating, and rotation of product in dry storage, low boy cooler, walk-in coolers and freezers.

  • Prepares grill menu items in accordance with placed order in sequential order, always following established department recipes.

  • Adheres to HACCP guidelines to maintain sanitation and infection control of all food preparation and service.

  • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.

  • Safely transports garbage, and recyclable material to assigned areas, using established protocols.

  • Uses all PPE personal protective equipment accurately when needed.


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to read, understand and speak basic English to perform essential functions of the job. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, recipes, production sheets, temperature logs, safety rules, MSDS sheets. Ability to optimally present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute recipe conversions, purchases vs. served, and pan yields.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.

  • 1+ years food production, quick order cooking experience and HACCP knowledgeable.

  • Food handler's certificate.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
