Summary (Scope of the Job)

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging print and digital designs that support various subsidiaries and internal brands. This role will collaborate with a growing Marketing team to create innovative design solutions, support internal clients, and act as a brand ambassador for Cotton.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Applies conceptual thinking and creativity to complex design problems throughout project cycle
  • Develops creative and content strategies across various subsidiaries
  • Ensures consistent brand design across all forms of media and communications
  • Creates cohesive assets that promote brand voice in innovative ways
  • Proactively researches client markets and design trends
  • Creates sales decks and internal client presentations
  • Demonstrates ability to present design concepts and choices
  • Develops integrated marketing and creative campaigns for internal clients
  • Designs custom digital interfaces based on project scope and expectations, taking into consideration responsive design elements
  • Collaborates with marketing team to design e-mails, promotions, PPC ads, social media graphics, and digital marketing collateral
  • Tests landing page designs and implementation, as well as SEO optimization strategy
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Provides art direction for internal and outsourced projects and makes recommendations to meet client's objectives
  • Manages creative assets, folders, budgets, and vendor relationships

Background Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, or equivalent education and experience

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of graphic design experience in advertising agency or In-house marketing department with B2B marketing experience
  • Possess a strong portfolio of print, presentation, video, digital, web, mobile, and environmental designs that stay in line with project scope, brand elements, expectations, and goals.
  • Web layout, design and coding preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • B2B sales and marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and
Premier Pro
  • Solid understanding of current HTML5 and CSS3 standards and practices
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Dropbox, Mac, and Windows platforms
  • Understanding of e-Commerce design layouts
  • Familiarity with Pardot, Salesforce, and leading CMS is desired
  • Video and photo editing experience
  • Merchandise design experience
  • Must be able to balance design quality and speed of execution
  • Collaborative attitude and the ability to take creative direction and criticism
  • A demonstrated willingness to learn very technical services and concepts
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines, with demonstrated ability to switch gears quickly and calmly
  • Comfortable communicating directly with senior leadership and executives on high profile projects
  • Values teamwork and demonstrates leadership qualities
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Passionate about branding, storytelling, and producing engaging content and campaigns
