POSITION SUMMARY

The GTC/Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining current Customs compliance policies, procedures and programs, and amend compliance procedures and programs as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for a wide range of tasks associated with the Import Entry process and recordkeeping requirements thereof from foreign export sites to U.S.
  • Responsible for the daily Import support tasks.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate data entry submission
  • Ensure all entry records are maintained and archived correctly
  • Provide complete entry audit packet to Trade Compliance Specialist to substantiate total value declared at the time of entry.
  • Liaise with customs broker to ensure customs clearance of imported goods is secured in a timely manner.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues and liaison between colleagues and GTC team, receiving warehouse and Sr Management.
  • Liaise with customs broker to ensure customs clearance of imported goods is secured in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for reviewing Product profiles in Zoetis database to ensure all product elements are up-to-date for entry submission.
  • Review post transportation charges, confirm charges are in line for invoice approval or arbitration.
  • Will be required to work closely with Finance, tracking Logistics spend and providing explanations for budget variances
  • Organizational relationships with departments that may affect Logistics operations, such as Sales, Purchasing, NPI, and Service , Inter Company Supply Team, Freight Forwarding Organizations, Government agencies such as FDA, Customs , Site Import Administration, Market Logistics Operations
  • Support improving operational and system gaps from the various warehouse and vendor entities to meet all compliance requirements.
  • Can provide support to Warehouse and/or Purchasing team as required in terms of reporting and basic SAP transactions.
  • Identify and implement streamlined processes for data reporting and communication.
  • Provide reporting for management in regards to GTC, warehouse movements, and inventory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in business relevant field (ie. Finance, Business Admin, etc), or High School Diploma with 2-3 years relevant experience as a GTC coordinator
  • Experience within Pharma/Bio-Medical industry: 3 - 5 years; with 2-3 years direct Pharma compliance/Customs Imports handling for the Bio Medical Industry
  • Customs Certification Specialist preferred but not a requirement
  • Experience in International Trade, Customs and all other government agencies.
  • Knowledge of Global transportation statutes, regulations and programs controlling and impacting the import and export of foreign imported materials.
  • Proficient with SAP and GTS Customs module preferred.
  • Use of Veeva Vault preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to liaison with customs broker to ensure customs clearance of imported goods is achieved in a timely manner.
  • Excellent telephone, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate/Advance Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong relationship building and client liaison skills
  • Highly organized, flexible, adaptable, with strong planning, decision making & time management skills
  • Possess initiative and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Import & Compliance courses preferred
  • Flexible work schedule, but will be required to work on site as required by Supervisor
