Job Description

This role will enable faster and more impactful business decisions by Cadillac's executive leadership team through the deployment and execution of advanced analytics, visualizations, business case preparations, and proof of concept software solutions. More specifically, this role will:

  • Help build & then execute Cadillac's Corporate Strategy & Business Planning analytics capability (Methods, Tools, Processes/Procedures); from both internal & external sources
  • Develop actionable business insights by performing advanced analytics on a broad range of problems and data types; communicate findings both written and verbal in a clear, concise and compelling manner
  • Perform statistical modeling to determine KPI targets that meet volume and revenue objectives
  • Lead efforts to identify root cause of poor performance or KPI shortfalls
  • Perform analytical methodology process improvements
  • Identify predictive modeling opportunities (e.g., incentive optimization, supply chain, product development, dealer suggested ordering, etc...) and work collaboratively to execute them
  • Serve as liaison with GM IT, GM Chief Data & Analytics Office, and other GM analytics functions
  • Engage and collaborate with Cadillac Global team, Order Fulfillment, Logistics, Product Development, GM Digital & Marketing Analytics, GM Sales Analytics for synergies and cross pollination, development and resource efficiencies
  • Identify potential business risks, and uncover new opportunities to modify operations, expand revenue, or reduce cost through the use of advanced analytics
  • Stay abreast of the evolving advanced analytics landscape; bring best practices and leading-edge innovations to Cadillac Corporate Strategy & Business Planning
  • Aide Cadillac in pivoting toward a forward looking predictive mode of operation
  • Conduct factor analysis along with cluster analysis and other Euclidean methods to build objective global prioritizations & importance models
  • Perform customer & dealer survey analytics to determine improvement opportunities for new products, services, and customer experiences
  • Develop and implement solutions and methods to leverage Hadoop based GM data platform
  • Build prototype CX solutions leveraging internal data sources such as MAXIS, HADOOP, GM EDW, VTIMS, Freight Verify GPS, OnStar, MARS, VOMS, DID, DOD, and external data sources such as JD Power, Deloitte Insight Analytics, etc...
  • Build advanced visualization and monitoring tools using Tableau, Power BI
  • Build Excel based models and business cases to support special projects and campaigns

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of applicable Data Science and/or Advanced Analytics experience
  • Expert modeling in EXCEL using functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Macros, pivot tables, advanced complex logic statements, and other advanced functions
  • Experience or education using data manipulation solutions: Horton Works, Spark, Cloudera, SQL, etc.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods and their proper application e.g., principle component analysis, correspondence analysis, k-means cluster analysis, factor analysis, multi-variate analysis, data modeling, linear regressions, non-linear regressions, partial least squares techniques
  • Detailed Knowledge of Advanced and Predictive Analytical Methods e.g., Simulation, Design of Experiments, Genetic Algorithms, Ensemble Methods, Naïve Bayes, Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, Interaction Effects, Importance modeling
  • Working knowledge and application of statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Spark, Python-based tools)
  • Ability to bring clarity, structure, and analytical rigor to complex ambiguous business problems
  • Highly proficient in pulling and analyzing raw data, along with developing impactful and insightful visualizations
  • Demonstrated experience with scenario and simulation development
  • Strong competencies in the following areas: Statistical Modeling; Research Design; Data Mining & Integration; Data Visualization; Computer Science; Database Science; Machine Learning; Programing & Scripting; Information Assurance; Mathematics; Operations Research, Programing (object oriented or otherwise)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in related field (e.g., Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Applied Mathematics, IT)
  • Applicable Programing skills (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience leveraging open-source platforms for advanced analytics application
  • Business administration or related field a plus
  • Automotive and/or Luxury Experience
  • Knowledge of key automotive industry syndicated research data providers (e.g., JDPA, Maritz, Strategic Vision, Polk)
  • Project Management or Process Management Certification (PMP, Six-Sigma, etc.)
  • Economics exposure
