We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Global Product Manager, Polyetherimides for our Performance Products Division at our Corporate Headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Global Product Manager, Polyetherimides is responsible for Huntsman's Polyetherimides product line throughout the product life cycle to optimize profits and meet strategic objectives. The role involves balancing the market needs with the most effective utilization of the asset base and developing and executing a long-term product line strategy via a combination of own make, buy or strategic partnerships.

What will be expected from you?

  • Develop and execute a 3-5-year product line strategy in line with the overall Performance Products global Strategic objectives.
  • Manage PEA product life cycle
  • Works with the commercial and marketing teams to to maximize the businesses Contribution Margin by coordinating volume and pricing strategies.
  • Optimizes product mix across three manufacturing sites to maximize product line profitability.
  • Monitors the competitive landscape to understand competitive threats & opportunities, pricing, cost structure, supply routes in order to maximize our competitive advantage.
  • Track and understand our customer's market trends and value propositions, and adapt our strategy accordingly.
  • Maintain sales volumes, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
  • Works with regional teams to ensure that time and financial investments are aligned to the largest value generation opportunities and are consistent with the business and market strategies.
  • Review annually the product line demand profile on a 3-5-year horizon and
  • determine and agree capacity constraints by assets and product type
  • highlight requirements for debottlenecking/expansions
  • identify more cost-effective options for re-sourcing or/and PFR
  • Identify with manufacturing opportunities for plant debottlenecks, to assess their value to the business and where appropriate to initiate business evaluations for capital expenditure.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending external networking events and establishing personal networks.
  • Identify new product development requirements in close collaboration with the R&D and marketing organization.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical or business discipline. MBA, CPA, or other professional certification a plus. Minimum of 5 years of commercial, marketing or product management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Amine technology and applications. well-developed and proven commercial acumen, driving continuous improvement, high focus on cost management strong customer intimacy, dealing with ambiguity, strong level of integrity, strong inter-personal skills.
  • Strong communication skills are required, both verbal and written communications must be professional and concise.
  • The ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, even under times of stress, is essential.
  • The ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information (pricing, salary actions, organizational changes, etc.) is essential.
