Role: Global Head Of Rates Electronic Trading

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: Permanent Role

15y+ deep experience and significant expertise in low latency and high-performance engineering using C++, Java, Python & Unix building low latency trading platforms and providing technical and thought leadership across all aspects of the SDLC with a demonstrable background in FI Rates Cash and Derivatives e-trading, pricing and algo.

• SME in D2C and D2D supporting TSY Bonds and Futures, IRS, FF/SOFR/BSBY Futures, TSY ETF's

• Led teams that build, performance tune and deliver key capabilities including pricing, contribution, auto responding/quoting, market making and auto hedging.

• Comfortable working in global environment where the team is geographically distributed.

• Able to operate independently and at all levels of the organization - junior developers through to MD traders - including interacting with non-technical staff.

• Passionate and recognized expert in the agile development process and DevOps practices including build, test, and release automation. Able to clearly articulate the benefits of scaled agile and automation to improve engineering quality and velocity.

• Experience of managing large complex multi-region build outs from the ground up including data center, network, and software architecture.

• Direct management of team locally in USA and matrixed globally. Able to coach and manage team members.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management. Strategic collaborator at a global level. Able to problem solve complex multi geography issues at a macro and detail level.

• Experience of operating in a highly regulated environment. Able to identify and articulate risks & concerns.

• FIX, other binary protocols, data pipelines

• Order/Execution Management, SOR, algo's, EMS

• Venue Connectivity

• Market Data, Tick data & machine learning models

• Scaled Agile & CICD/Dev Ops

• Highly distributed, multi-threaded & multi-core architectures, low latency engineering

• Core computer science concepts i.e. OO design & patterns, algorithms, data structures

• High availability, multi-site/multi-region hot/hot

• Regulations and compliance protocols as they relate to e-trading globally
