The OBU Franchise for Immuno Oncology is recruiting for a critical leadership role.
Our bold ambition to become the leader in Oncology is significantly connected to the successful evolution of our success in Immuno Oncology, with a major focus on our lead indication Lung cancer.

Here we are seeking a highly experienced Oncology commercialization leader for the role of Global Commercial Lead IO Lung Cancer, reporting directly to the VP Commercial Immuno Oncology.

The role:

Key accountabilities

  • Full commercial accountability for Imfinzi, Tremelimumab and emerging IO assets within the scope of Lung Cancer, from PhIII Investment decision (accountable for business case) to launch and commercial performance.
  • Core member of GPT and leads commercial representation at GPT
  • Works collaboratively across multiple leadership levels, core functions, and geographies to deliver on best-in-class strategic plans and to support local implementation.
  • Accountable for developing and managing a team of Global Brand Directors
  • Accountable for leading the cross-functional Brand team to deliver the tumor type strategy.

Major Deliverables

Develops Tumor type commercial strategy and inspires the organization around it
  • Leverages competitive analysis, market trends and segmentation, investment opportunity analysis, Tumor scientific story, and clinical data
  • Develops fully integrated brand strategies and oversees associated global tactics, is entrepreneurial/ creative in development of strategies and tactics
  • Stays up to date and relevant through:
KEE engagement, taking an external lens and understanding customer needs

Understands and leverages evolving scientific data, competitive trends, market evolution (eg payer trends, digital therapeutics, novel diagnostics)

Employing emerging commercial capabilities (e.g. customer analysis, omnichannel, digital, and remote detailing)

Represents OBU within the GPT, provides a commercial perspective to clinical development and is accountable for new opportunities PhIII business case
  • Strategically influences Clinical trials design to collate data to inform development of patient value strategy and define Target Product Profile
  • Accountability for commercial components of ID, forecast sign-off, pricing decisions, representation of commercial position at governance, TPP
  • Accountable for ensuring product TPP addresses key unmet needs and clinical value demonstration in global markets
  • Accountable for ensuring trial designs and outcomes will achieve specified commercial objectives and forecast expectations
  • Articulates associated risks and ensures necessary risk mitigation to ensure achievement of commercial ambition and associated forecast valuations

Ensures full readiness of the organization for world-class launches
  • Accountable for COMM ID and global launch readiness activities
  • Accountable for cross-functional commercialization plans (Marketing, Medical Affairs and Evidence, Pricing & Market Access, Regulatory, Diagnostics, Insights)

Ensures strong commercial execution and commercial performance for launched indications in relationship with in-market leadership
  • Ensure strong alignment between Global / Region / Markets and strong execution of commercial strategy in partnership with markets
  • KPIs and monitoring
  • QBR prep/support

Leads the cross functional Global Commercial team for relevant tumour type(s) (team includes but not limited to: Global Marketing, Global Medical Affairs, Pricing & Market Access, Regulatory, Global Diagnostics, Global Analytics & Insights, Corporate Communications, key market representatives) Manages, develops and inspires a team of global brand directors

Requirements:

Experience:
  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of oncology/immuno-oncology
  • Experience in Oncology marketing, preferably at global and regional/local level
  • Broad commercial experience including product launch
  • Experience of working with R&D to shape PhIII trail design
  • Track record of developing strong brand strategies, identifying key brand insights, and delivering high impact customer facing/shaping initiatives
  • Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external customers including prescribers, patients, payers, providers
  • Effective cross- functional project team leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Strong leadership attributes to inspire and build alignment across markets
  • Strong understanding of Clinical Development in Oncology

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; business or scientific graduate degree with a business-related post graduate qualification
  • Post-graduate degree in biological, chemical, or pharmacological sciences is strongly desired
  • Preferred PhD
