Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Provides functions within the daily operation of the GI Lab to ensure department efficiency and safe, timely care of patients. Perform many non-nursing functions related to equipment set up, handling, processing and storage. Position requires direct patient contact involving provision of answers to appropriate patient questions, application of monitoring equipment and discharge of patients. Performs clerical duties and provides general care to patients under the supervision of the licensed nurse.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred:

• SGNA GI Tech Certification
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Healthcare experience in an office or hospital setting
