Location: Georgetown, PA
Description: We are currently seeking a General Supervisor for a clinical laboratory in the Wilkes Barre, PA area! Please see details below:

Location: Wilkes Barre, PA 18702

Schedule: M-F, 8 hours per day within site operating hours (7am-7pm), with occasional weekend hours required

Job Type: 12 month contract

Responsibilities:

• Supervises reception area testing activities while providing clear and consistent instructions and directions, conduct meetings, and clearly communicate performance expectations.
• Advise management of employee relation issues or escalated donor issues.
• Conduct error investigations and develop recommendations for process improvement.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system, as outlined in the SOPs.
• Understands policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain clean efficient work environment, and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available

Qualifications & Requirements:

• B.S. or A.B. degree from an accredited institution with a major in medical technology or one of the biological, physical, or chemical sciences
  
• Experience providing direct supervision for the technical performance of the staff in one or more of the major categories, that is, microbiology, hematology and immunohematology, clinical chemistry, and radioisotope technics during the periods in which tests are performed. •
• Prior experience as supervisor in a clinical laboratory.
