As a General Labor at a local client you will provide general labor where work is needed in various locations throughout the plant

Primary responsibilities include:

Material handling functions, including but not limited to, forming and lining of containers, packing WIP and finished goods into containers, palletizing of product, and manual cut-in of raw materials as required.

Must perform general clean-up, and minor sanitation duties(i.e. sweeping, general cleaning of equipment and area) as required.

Some employees in this category will interface with retail customers and must be able to handle material of various weights and dimensions.

Maintains product quality by recognizing and understanding customer specifications, defective product, packets and/or packaging.

Maintain and adhere to HACCP processes and auditing, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.

May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by supervisor.

Duties consist of repetitive tasks that are closely related.

Works under the direct supervision and receives assignments from supervisor. Work is checked regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous food manufacturing experience

Must be able to identify problems and assist in solving. Position incorporates generalist concept and accomplishment of minor maintenance and housekeeping is expected.

Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position.

Must be available for weekend work as scheduled

Comfortable working outdoors

The position may require the ability to work in noisy areas and exposure to heat, cold and dust. May work in traffic areas. Must wear personal protection equipment while working.

The position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds

The starting pay rate for General Labor jobs is $14.25 - $14.68/hr, plus overtime as needed.
