Purpose of the Job: The General Labor position will perform a variety of tasks throughout the scheduled shift and serve as break relief for operators.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform work that inclues rework, palletizer operation, forklift operation, waste disposal, painting, cleaning and assisting production as needed.
  • Communicate with Department Supervisor for job assignment which may include vacancy coverage, rework, scrapping or housekeeping tasks.
  • Work in assigned area, depending on identified position, if vacancy or production assistance is needed.
  • Provide break relief for various areas as assigned by Department Supervisor.
  • Operate equipment and assist production as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment
  • Familiar with proper handling of chemical and solvents
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Prior experience in manufacturing preferred

Key Compentencies/Physical Demands
  • Able to stand for a long duration of time in excess of 8 hours a day
  • Able to bend over and rotate body repeatedly
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Exposre to heat, cold, vibrations, odors/fumes, and loud noise
  • Able to perform fine manipulations with hands
  • Willing and able to work overnight and night shifts
