Cooley Dickinson Health Care is helping our gastroenterology group affiliate search for a full-time BC/BE gastroenterologist to join a high-volume community GI practice in Florence, Massachusetts. The group provides 100% of GI specialty care at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. This position will work within a private practice, Hampshire Gastroenterology Associates (HGA).

About the Role:
• Work in a community healthcare setting. Split your time between Cooley Dickinson Hospital, an ambulatory surgical center in Amherst, MA, and the group's private offices in Florence, MA.
• Join a team of five physicians and four advanced practice providers.
• Comfortable call schedule of 1:6.
• Busy outpatient service combined with a dedicated rotating GI hospitalist enhances work/life balance.

At Cooley Dickinson Hospital, patients benefit from a dedicated endoscopy unit and an expert nursing staff. We have a skilled anesthesia team to assist with procedures.

Commonly performed procedures include:
• Upper G.I. endoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Esophageal manometry (new program in development)
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is a huge plus, but not required
• In-office hemorrhoid band ligation

The center features four procedure rooms and twelve admission and recovery bays. Our technology and equipment help gastroenterologists and pulmonologists perform procedures accurately and efficiently.

Florence, MA is located just outside of Northampton, MA. It features a vibrant arts and culture scene, great educational opportunities for all ages, and a location convenient to all rural and major metropolitan areas throughout New England including three major cities: Hartford (45 miles), Boston (100 miles), and New York City (150 miles).

About HGA:
The physicians of Hampshire Gastroenterology Associates are active staff members of Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA, and participate in the acute care of patients referred for treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. The group's areas of expertise include diagnostic and advanced therapeutic endoscopy, inflammatory bowel diseases, Celiac Sprue, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, therapeutic ERCP, acute and chronic liver diseases, and video capsule endoscopy. In addition, we take an active role in promoting colorectal cancer screening by performing colonoscopies and are committed to colon cancer prevention.
