Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement associate incentive programs.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled training sessions
  • Perform all duties of a Games line associate and operate various games
  • Requisition stock and supplies as needed
  • Ensure proper staff levels
  • Manage the efficient and profitable operation of assigned area. Achieve budgeted game and area per capita and revenue goals within an established labor and cost of sales budget
  • Maintain a properly functioning area; maintain displays and stock levels accordingly
  • Provide appropriate performance feedback to associates, acknowledge and reward quality performance, and conduct performance counseling sessions when necessary
  • Train line associate staff, particularly in areas of efficient game operation and guest service
  • Greets guests in proximity of the Games locations as well as throughout the park.
  • Conducts inventories and monitors Cost of Sales on a weekly basis
  • Motivates associates.
  • Provides team with necessary information and tools to effectively perform their duties.
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing to management, associates and guests.
  • Stocks walls, shelves, under-counter supplies and platforms with plush and hard goods.
  • Monitors and regulates standards for the department (i.e. grooming, safety and quality).
  • Provides information in person and via telephone regarding stock levels, safety hazards. Also general information to guests (i.e. directs to specific attractions).
  • Responds to and takes appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from patrons and associates.
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of an assigned area.
  • Responsible for area inventories on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Follows all Park and Department Policies.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Ability to work with other people.
  • Good judgment.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
