The Senior Community Care - PACE is currently hiring for a CNA to complete home care visits in our senior client's homes in the Delta County area.

FULL-TIME HOURS

Standard hours are a shift between 6:30 am to 8:30 pm and must work every other weekend

WAGE: $13.75 - $18.98 an hour

We reimburse you for mileage driving between home visits and we pay you during your driving time between home visits.

The primary role of the Nursing Assistant is to provide assigned elderly participants with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established facility nursing care procedures as directed by clinical supervisors. The Nursing Assistant reports any observed changes in elderly participants condition as they occur. Performs routine resident care duties and tasks delegated by the registered nurse, licensed practical nurse or licensed therapist to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents. Provides services in a manner compliant with all state and federal regulations as well as with any applicable facility policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 1. Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.

2. Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.

3. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Current License as Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) required.

4. Experience: Have experience in working with the frail and elderly population for a job, as a volunteer or helping take care of a friend or relative.

5. Skills and Knowledge:
• Knowledge of principles, practices standards and techniques of a C.N.A. or equivalent training
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Knowledge of medical equipment how to use and maintain.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, medical staff, and the public.
• Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to meet these demands:

1. Physical Requirements - Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients. Requires standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling and reaching at arm's length and overhead in clinic, rehab department and in community for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to transfer participants needing maximum assist of one. Requires the ability to lift/carry up to fifty (50) pounds and push or pull objects exceeding one hundred fifty (150) pounds, using appropriate body mechanics. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

2. Visual, Hearing and Communication Requirements - Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to document care provided in participants' service records. Must be able to communicate verbally with participants in regard to their treatment plan. Communicate verbally with caregivers and co-workers.

3. Pressure Factor - Requires working under stressful conditions. Working conditions may be noisy and crowded and fluctuating indoor temperatures. Moderate pressure to meet scheduled appointments while dealing with frail and confused participants. Subject to participants that may have the potential for verbal or physical aggression.
