In this role, you will apply a variety of technologies to develop innovative Data API solutions for a complex business. This position is a critical element to delivering the company's promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services.The Purpose of Your Role:The API Engineer in WI DE&E is responsible for design, development of highly available and efficient webservices hosted on AWS to deliver data through Snowflake that service our customers as well as our representatives. The data engineer will also be a technical lead for the team and has responsibility for solution design, solving key technical challenges and mentoring the team.The Value You Deliver:

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required
• 8+ years of demonstrable experience in implementing Java API solutions in an DWH/OLTP/ODS environment
• Proficiency with Angular 8+
• Experience in REST based web services development using different frameworks (e.g. Spring boot, Dropwizard, JAX-RS)
• Proven experience deploying webservice on AWS
• Experience in top down development of REST based API's using Open API Specification
• Proven experience in JAVA Programming Language (Java 1.8+)
• Hands on experience working with Code Quality and Code Coverage tools/frameworks (e.g. Sonar)
• Hands on experience working with Software Artifactory (e.g. Nexus, JFrog)
• Experience delivering resilient and high-quality software systems
• Solid experience in software testing and automation using diverse frameworks (e.g. Unit, Functional, Smoke, Integration, etc.)
• Strong programming, debugging and secure software development skills (e.g. JProfile, Veracode, Burp)
• Basic understanding of CaaS, PaaS, IaaS and security protocols (e.g. OAuth, SAML)
• Strong technical design and analysis skills
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environment
• Deep experience supporting mission critical applications quickly
• Superb communication skills, both through written and verbal channels
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
• Ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements
• Strong knowledge and technology trends in implementing business applications
