Front End Engineer: Node JS REACT
Seeking a Front-End Developer responsible for implementing product features from concept, through prototyping, to product deliverables to in support of digital discovery experiments. On this fast-paced, entrepreneurial team, the Front-End Developer will work closely within the team to create transformative digital experiences for our patients, donors, customers, and employees. The team is composed of product managers, designers, UX researchers, and software engineers.
Proven experience creating user-facing applications with modern technologies and frameworks will be required to transform storyboards, UX design, and technical requirements into working prototypes and product features. Given the entrepreneurial focus of the team, the Front-End Developer must:

The GUI prototyping can be done in a variety of frameworks. This person will work directly with product managers/product teams to gather design requirements, translate to technical requirements, and engineer solutions. This person will be mainly front-end focused with some back-end work.
Skillset
  • 4+ years of experience as a React Developer
  • Proficient in React and supporting libraries (i.e., Redux, MaterialUI)
  • Competent in configuring FE dev tooling and CI/CD processes
  • (i.e., Webpack/Vite, Tailwind, PR app deployment, env var management)
  • Familiar with AWS for FE hosting and authentication
  • Experience contributing engineer feedback to design teams
  • Comfortable specifying an API layer for BE interaction
  • Can demonstrate rapid prototyping ability in an active interview

New Health Life Sciences customer. Will be one other vendor providing resources.
Any other information considered useful:
  • Candidate must be senior in the technology domain
  • Will own the UI piece. Initial work building out from scratch building creative solutions branching to novel piece
  • Project information: Data set management system. Is an internal portal for users to access datasets in the organization and facilitate the work (mostly tables and profiles).
  • This role is a replacement of existing resource. Some code is in place (not large code base) Will be implementing improvement toward technical debt and some new features.
  • Build out automated unit and integrated test
  • Client leader prefers Eastern or Central working hours but any US time zone is acceptable.
  • Remote nearly entirely may be a couple of trips per year may be requested (King of Prussia)
Not required
  • Specific domain experience is not required.
  • Backend skills would be helpful not an emphasis, there are other teams assigned to backend.
  • Will not be a true test role
Onboarding process
Have them up and running on CSL application within two weeks. Initially could start without laptop but need CSL laptop for development.
