Department: North Side Production Location: Kokomo, IN
Business Purpose:
Provide leadership and direction in forging/rolling operations. Follow established corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines. Deliver consistent results to both internal and external customers.
Role Qualifications: (Required & Preferred)
Education:
High School or GED (R), Associate Degree or equivalent experience (P)
Experience:
3-5 years manufacturing or equivalent experience (P)
Areas of Knowledge:
Safety, Health & Environment (R), Labor Contract (R), Manufacturing (P), Management (R), North Side Production Operation (P), Lean Manufacturing (P), 5S (P)
Skills:
Written and oral communication (R), Organizational (R), Leadership (R), Computer (R), Interpersonal Relations
Global Accountabilities for the Role:
- Safety/Environmental: Follow all corporate safety and environmental policies
- Quality: Follow all corporate quality policies and goals
- Productivity: Assist supervisor in communicating and achieving production goals
- Cost/Stewardship: Work within departmental budget
Specific Accountabilities for the Role:
1. Proactive safety first attitude
2. Ensure compliance to all safety, environmental, AAP & EEO rules, regulations, and laws
3. Ensure compliance to plant rules
4. Direct daily operations of forge/mill crews
5. Follow all SOP's and QCI's
6. Adhere to the collective bargaining agreement
7. Maintain all needed documentation
8. Schedule daily work to meet production goals
9. Assist supervisors in directing grind/cut operations, filling needed overtime, and maintaining
operating supplies
