Food Service Worker - Full-Time - St. Peter's Hospital-Albany, NY

What you will do:
  • You will be responsible for completing a variety of assignments that may include; patient customer service, catering services, patient visitation, tray assembly, distribution and service, general sanitation, cleaning, and use of kitchen equipment

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares menu items identified on the production sheet, in accordance with foretasted and/or tallied quantities
  • Makes salad items, cold food items, and desserts for patients and retail
  • Adheres to HACPP guidelines to maintain sanitation of all food preparation and service
  • Conducts a variety of cleaning tasks which may include dish washing, pot washing, general sanitation, cleaning, and use of kitchen equipment
  • Assist in the service and storage of food.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state, local, and department sanitation procedures and maintains a clean sanitary working environment in all areas of the Food and Nutrition Services
  • Uses and properly documents cooling charts, vegetable wash of produce, and temperatures of foods
  • Adheres to SPHP's code of conduct

What you will need:
  • Food service and/or customer service experience is required
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to read and write
  • Weekend availability
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Required/ Must be Fully Vaccinated.
