Summary of Duties:
The Food Service Supervisor II position is responsible for the retail operations of the Ferdinand's Ice Cream Shoppe at Washington State University. The duties of the position will include, but is not limited to: working with the public conducting over-the-counter sales; directing the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of a crew of approximately 20 temporary student employees and 1 full-time staff member in the preparation of and sale of dairy products; providing effective inventory control; maintaining sterling sanitation practices; ensuring proper cash handling techniques; and performing other duties as assigned.
Position Term: 12 months
Associate Degree in food service management, nutritional care or related field AND One year of food service supervisory experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with major course work in restaurant or hotel management or closely-related field; OR High School Diploma, or GED Certificate, with four years of experience in an industrial, commercial or institutional food service or patient tray service including one year as a lead, supervisor, or equivalent; OR equivalent education/experience.
Ability to obtain State of Washington Food Handler's Permit.
Must have, or able to obtain, a valid driver's license by time of hire.
Ability to obtain PCI (credit card) Compliance certificate
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.

Range 41, $3,321.00 - $4,425.00 (Step A - Step M)
Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 or applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
