Overview

Purpose:

The Finance Systems Lead will be responsible for the technical support of all software applications used by the Accounting department. In this role, the manager will help support data integrity, adhere to timely report distribution, help develop automated solutions and work in collaboration with other departments to help develop solutions to streamline and automate processes in an administrative capacity. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

This role will report into AVP, Finance as a dedicated member of the Finance Transformation program.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve financial systems issues reported by users through ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets
  • Enforcing governance and controls processes laid out by FSGC team
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Oracle ERP application functionalities, both in current design and overall system capabilities
  • Responsible for facilitating and tracking system close activities
  • Demonstrate strong ownership in specific financial systems areas or applications
  • Participate and lead project workstreams for enhancements and project initiatives
  • Open and manage service requests (SRs) with Oracle Support for FSS team
  • Support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) BAU activities
  • Light travel (~25%)

Key Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
10+ years' experience with Oracle ERP applications, showing progressive growth in responsibilities
Previous consulting experience a plus
Strong knowledge with Oracle ERP suite of products: GL, AP, FA, AR, PO, IC, Tax, iExpense, Project Costing, AHCS
Familiarization of Oracle EPM suite of products: ARCS, EDMCS, FCS
Knowledge of Oracle EBS: GL, AP, currency rates
Demonstrate leadership in areas of assigned responsibility, proactively driving team members to completion of tasks or projects
Strategic and analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work autonomously and balance direction from several stakeholders
Excellent time management skills and organization
Detail-oriented with respect to governance and control processes
Ability to work cross functionally and with global teams.
Highest level of integrity and good judgement, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
Proactive, possess written and oral communication skills to clearly and concisely summarize conclusions and observations to management.
