The Financial Analyst will be a key resource for Xellia's North American business unit for financial planning, reporting and analysis. The Analyst will support the US Injectables Sales, Opex, and inventory management. This position will be responsible for reviewing all US Injectables Opex including headcount, salary, travel, and other Opex. Financial Analyst will have exposure to commercial business through reporting of Daily Sales and preparing comparisons of revenue to both forecast and budget. Additionally, this position will work closely with Supply Chain and Sales operations in the review of 3PL inventory ensuring proper inventory controls and reporting. This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager of FP&A and interact with all members of the US Injectables team as well as the Copenhagen FP&A team.

This position will be a hybrid role of in office and remote working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain monthly Opex reports. Provide commentary, insights, and recommendations based on the reporting
  • Partner with Sr. Mgr FP&A and North American team to develop accurate Opex budgets and quarterly forecasts properly assessing and identifying risks and opportunities to the business
  • Complete reconciliation of ICS shipments to E1 sales and resolve errors as needed. Track revenue results, and actively forecast "Latest-Estimates" which will enable decision making for senior leadership
  • Assist in the month end close process processing Opex related journal entries and accruals and completing headcount/salary reconciliation. Ensure adherence to closing calendar
  • Review and reconcile accruals for PTO, Bonus, and Sales Incentives
  • Prepare monthly Opex reviews and hold monthly meetings with cost center managers to review spending in the month, review variances, and forecast upcoming spending to hold managers accountable to their budgets
  • Develop working understanding of 3PL inventory transactions. Work with Supply Chain, 3PL, and Sales Operations to ensure inventory is reconciled and resolve any inventory discrepancies
  • Assist in monthly reconciliation of 3PL to E1 inventory
  • Provide support and backup for Payroll Analyst as needed
  • Other ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 1-3 years' relative work experience
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards, or similar general ledger systems
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and work through challenging situations
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex problems in a clear concise way for the business
  • High energy, drive and desire to work in result oriented and dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Results-oriented
