Position Summary

This position is responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of information using accounting and financial tools to compile, report, evaluate, analyze and recommend appropriate financial activities relative to the operation of the organization in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This position works on the monthly P&L, quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting. Additionally, various reconciliations and ad-hoc analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare Monthly Information Package and provide analysis on material variances utilizing MS Excel, Oracle and other financial tools.
  • Provide insightful decision support through analyses of information from multiple sources of data.
  • Standardize and create efficiencies for financial reporting, reconciliations and ad hoc reports. Be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reporting and analysis responsibilities.
  • Build relationships with brand/department heads and upper management and collaborate on various financial issues.
  • Perform month-end close duties including but not limited to monthly journal entries and bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Process banking transactions via Electronic Deposit Service (EDS).
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation between Oracle general ledger balances and bank statement balances. Review validity of daily bank transactions and investigate any that appear to be fraudulent.
  • Maintenance and support of Purchase Order Workbook for Sales & Marketing.
  • Prepare budgets annually and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare annual reporting package which includes Income Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and other financial details.
  • Work with auditors during yearly audits.
  • Develop technical, analytical and accounting/financial skills to provide key insights to functional and brand business partners.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products is required.
    • Especially skilled in Excel formulas, functions, macros, queries and pivot tables.
  • Experience in Oracle Financial is preferred.
  • Experience/Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management is required.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 with reasonable accommodation required. Ability to work and sit in front of a computer screen for long periods of time is also required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, detail and results oriented, great organizational and problem solving skills, and ability to work within tight deadlines are required.
