POSITION SUMMARY:
The Stanford Bio-X/Clark Center Financial Analyst (FA2) will be a member of the Bio-X staff team and supports the overall operation of the Clark Center and the Global Bio-X Program. This position helps the Program & Finance Manager to manage and track financial responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate reporting needed to various sources.Includes regular reporting to the Program & Finance Manager and the Executive Director of Operations & Programs.This position also ensures compliance with university and sponsoring agencies financial policies and procedures.
Intense experience with Oracle or other financial systems is required. Must have an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, and must have experience working with budgets. Must be able to communicate complex ideas and numbers clearly and succinctly and have an avid commitment to accurate work.Must possess proven ability to analyze information, define issues, propose solutions, collaborate on improvement plans, and implement changes effectively.Must have ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide variety of individuals.Must be team oriented. Must be able to make and implement good decisions based on accurate analysis of all available information. Must be able to work collaboratively and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.Must have strong understanding of accounting systems and technological skills: previous experience with Tidemark Budget Planning and Oracle Financials are encouraged. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles strongly encouraged. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel, required. Demonstrated project management skills as well as collaborative team-based work experience required.
This is a 100% FTE, benefits-eligible position. The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. There may be occasional extended hours and weekends for event support. This position will be based on the Stanford campus and after a trial period will be considered for an option of a hybrid schedule (one day offsite), subject to operational need. The expected pay range for this position is $89,000 to $118,000 per annum/hour.
