Automotive Field Marketing Manager

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as an Automotive Field Marketing Manager for our Polyurethanes Division at our site located in Auburn Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly identify and communicate value propositions of Huntsman's polyurethane technology in way that generates valuable leads and nurtures them through to purchase, using effective marketing communications tools and agency resources.

The primary role will be to provide expertise, guidance, and leadership through daily interactions with internal stakeholders and customers in the automotive industry. This position will be responsible for marketing programs and commercial launch of new products within targeted automotive applications. The candidate will also be responsible for value chain engagement from converter to end user to understand unmet needs and identify emerging opportunities.

Focus of the Role:

  • Work closely with cross functional team - R&D, TS&D and sales to help articulate the value proposition of the technology offering and develop the market strategy associated with each technology/product launch within the automotive market.
  • Responsible for the commercial launch of new products.
  • Drive lead generation and actively manage planning, development, content, budget, project management and successful implementation of integrated marketing programs for audiences including awareness, demand generation, pipeline building and deal acceleration.
  • Value chain engagement - work across the value chain to understand customer and market unmet needs.
  • Develop and manage marketing plan, including integrated campaigns, corporate events, industry conferences and tradeshows, online, partner marketing, account-based marketing campaigns-from launch through follow-up.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external teams including global, regional and local teams, as well as managing local agency relationships, to orchestrate communications, branding, content, data, marketing intelligence & operations, online, digital and social media, partners, customer references, sponsorships, and events to create integrated audience specific programs and campaigns.

Education, Experience & Training required:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferred relevant areas include marketing, business, mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience required in technical marketing, communications, or sales in the chemical and/or automotive industries.
  • Experience developing and executing successful B2B lead gen and sales marketing plans targeting lines of business.
  • Demonstrated project management capability.
  • Ability to travel 30+%.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize numerous tasks, events, etc.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office experience, esp. with Excel and preferably Projects.
  • Experience with CRMs.
  • Strong team player and ability to lead through influence.
