Your role:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join MilliporeSigma as a Field based Application Scientist (FAS). In coordination with the FAS Manager and the Immunoassay Platform Specialist (IPS) team, you provide technical pre- and post-sales support, including instrument demonstrations and training, hosting seminars and informational sessions at client sites, custom and new assay development, and disseminating technical information on specific applications to assist clients in optimizing processes and identifying novel solutions. You will partner with Product Management and Research & Development to identify and assess potential application areas using the existing portfolio or suggestions for product development. Additionally, you will play a key role in differentiating and positioning products and services based on scientific, technical, and competitive principles. Finally, you will be expected to travel to multiple locations throughout the US up to 60% to include E. Philadelphia, Maryland, and Virginia. Best if located in Baltimore, MD or Philadelphia.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biological/Biomedical Science
- 2+ years of experience with protein biomarker analysis and assay development
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Biological/Biomedical Science
- FAS, Sales, or Sales Support experience
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize protocols and prepare scientific documents
- Experience with Microsoft Office software in a business environment
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities
- Business-fluent English skills
