Job Summary
* This position is a First Shift position.Supports day to day functions that are essential to product supply.
Main duties include transportation of product and material throughout the facility and transportation and preparation of finished goods for shipment to sterilization facility and/or customer distribution warehouse. Maintains inventory quantities and follows all required policies and procedures.
Work closely with the Quality Receiving Inspection Team as well as Production Cell Leaders.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Transports product and material throughout the facility with an emphasis on using FIFO to pick and deliver materials to production lines in a timely manner. Transports and prepares finished goods for shipment to sterilization facility and/or customer distribution warehouse. Maintains inventory quantities and follows all required policies and procedures including but not limited to the site material handling procedure which includes specificity on material status labels and lot traceability. Works closely with the Quality Receiving Inspection Team as well as Production Cell Leaders to bridge the gap between material release and material consumption. Delivers raw materials and sub-assembly input materials to production areas. Loads shipper boxes with finished packaged product(s) and transports boxes and other materials between locations Palletizes, shrink wraps, and strap pallets of outgoing finished goods. Operates material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts. Stocks material at production lines throughout the facility. Makes inventory transfers using company ERP system. Perform Cycle Counts. Assist the finished goods distribution team by stocking product and/or picking customer orders for shipment. Assists mechanic as needed with light maintenance work. Assists in the general upkeep and cleanliness of exterior facility grounds. Maintains general cleanliness and organization of raw material warehouse. Transfers corrugate boxes and other materials between two separate locations Assists the finished goods distribution as needed by stocking product and picking customer orders for shipment. Assists with other job functions such as maintenance and the finished goods distribution team on an as needed basis when deemed necessary by the Facility Manager.Expected Areas of Competence
* Proficient in handling multiple tasks at any given time. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and organizing multiple duties. * Ability to write legibly and accurately. * Ability to stand most of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions, labels, etc. * Competent in basic math. * High attention to detail with regards to reviewing labels and other material identification information. * Ability to recognize errors, root cause errors, and make improvement suggestions. * Ability to pull materials using FIFO, unless instructed otherwise. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs and the ability to learn software quickly. Self-driven with the ability to work in a team environmentEducation/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent requiredOne year of related experience and working knowledge/experience in Lean/5S preferred
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful
