Facilities Engineer provides professional engineering services to support facility management, interacting with contractors or vendors to coordinate and accomplish major facility improvements and alterations, as well as oversee and support facilities operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspects existing facilities and prepares reports on the condition, deficiencies observed, designs necessary for repairs, and estimated cost of repairs.
• Conducts preliminary surveys and prepares schematics and work drawings for the construction and maintenance of new or remodeled structures and facilities.
• Examines and approves engineering and architectural drawings and design computations for buildings and facilities to ensure compliance with sound engineering practices and codes; incorporates functional requirements into facility requirements.
• Estimates cost of projects, writes contracts and specifications for labor, materials and equipment for construction projects, and secures bids from contractors.
• Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress and advises construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications.
• Works closely with the Safety and Environmental groups to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
• Reviews the operations of the manufacturing site to identify deficiencies in equipment and processes around energy usage and makes recommendations to improve productivity and lower energy costs
• Reviews and makes decisions on engineering project plans prepared by outside consultants for conformance to CNH standards and specifications; prepares a variety of technical facilities engineering reports and analyses for presentation to management
• Other related duties as assigned
• This position pays $72,250 - $97,750

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline OR Associate degree plus 3 or more years of Facilities Management experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent computer skills, with strong excel skills necessary
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
