Position Summary

The Executive Director, Information Technology will lead the development of strategic plans, perform organization and talent management, and direct information applications and technology deployment on a global basis for the Industrial Process (IP) division of ITT. She/He will be responsible for the day-to-day operational components of the IP IT organization and support of the user community as well as for the execution of all IT related projects. In addition, this role will interface with IP & ITT senior management to establish strategies that have a direct impact on process efficiency and competitive capabilities.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with the business to understand the needs and establish IT strategies that enable business growth and improve business process efficiency and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement application strategies and technologies that enable the business
  • Manage business relationships through program management, managing the activities of the customer support process and insuring the availability, responsiveness, and effective utilization of the IT resources.
  • Contribute strategic thought leadership to the IT Function as a member of the IT Senior Leadership team
  • Manage Local and Enterprise applications for IP - break/fix, enhancements, and projects for new functionality. • Work with the business to create, implement, and manage a global long term ERP strategy and roadmap.
  • Support SOX compliance, Security Compliance, M&A activities, and growth opportunities in the Emerging Markets for the business.
  • Develop business case for identified opportunities and present project and technology proposals to senior leadership
  • Create strategic roadmaps for all relevant functions and regions of the IP business
  • Focus on talent development; recognize development needs, provide coaching and create opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Change management leader with the business to drive standards and improve customer service and efficiency.
  • Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
  • Implement and operate on a daily basis using continuous process improvement as a way of life. (e.g. Lean, ITIL, Six Sigma methodologies).
Position Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership of large-scale systems planning, analysis, design, and development projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ERP system rationalization, consolidation, and implementations.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Highly motivated and responsive to business needs. Strong team player across the business functions and within the IT teams.
  • Experience with advanced management techniques and practices including career management, budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Well-developed and regularly demonstrated managerial competencies including; leadership, team-building, self-confidence, results orientation, interpersonal astuteness, visioning, strategic planning, and communications.
  • Technical competence in both infrastructure and application development/deployment projects.
