Examples of Work
In your first 12 months in this role you'll:
  • Promote the importance and mission of the Commission
  • Prepare for and attend community events across Nebraska
  • Collaborate with communities to identify and promote education and skill set needed on behalf of the Latino American community
  • Ensure Spanish resources available to the public in the areas of: Health, Education, and Legal procedures
  • Promote and ensure easy access to resources of the State, and the University for business entrepreneurs in the Latino American community
Qualifications / Requirements
Must:
  • Have Bachelor's degree
  • Be fluent in Spanish and English
  • Have leadership & budget experience
  • Be willing and able to travel
  • Have basic knowledge of state and local government
  • Have strong computer skills
  • Be a warm, natural leader with an ability to guide and influence others in a positive way
  • Have proven success creating valuable and trusted relationships
  • Know how to jump from strategic thinking to tactical work
  • Have high Emotional Intelligence (EQ) with a desire to constantly improve
You'll stand out from the crowd with:
