WHAT'S EXCITING ABOUT THIS JOB:

The Registration Manager role is an exciting opportunity for you to utilize your project management, marketing, logistical and complex problem solving skills while applying your creativity on various events. It's a multi-faceted and fast paced job with many opportunities to collaborate with your show teams to integrate and execute new cutting edge technologies, programs and services for the specific industry's needs. This ever evolving role provides very active days working with colleagues and vendors throughout each show cycle. You will partner with show teams, digital experts, client services, contractors and associations to develop registration processes with customer focus at the forefront while implementing best practices to capture the data that will provide insights and content to our valued customers.

You will be responsible for reporting throughout the registration show cycle and manage each event's registration budget throughout the year.

There are entrepreneurial aspects to this position in conjunction with working on registration projects across multiple disciplines, including digital, social media, special events, marketing, sponsorships, and more. You will travel up to 9 times a year throughout the country and/or the UK to manage the onsite registration process at the venue! You will see all your hard work come to fruition and witness how it is all directly related to the success of the event!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all facets of the registration process for their assigned shows, including budgeting, forecasting, creating set-up letters, construction of the registration websites using a SaaS platform to build your own registration pages.
  • Create discount codes and applications and apply when needed.
  • Work with badge production companies to design and manufacture show tickets.
  • Support team in selling merchandise on the registration pages and create timelines for badge/merch mailings with badge fulfillment vendors.
  • Innovative thinking regarding how to make it easier and faster for servicing our customers in the registration process both on the web and on-site, while improving their overall experience.
  • Monitor all web registration pages and all related links and implement all revisions immediately.
  • Develop the on-site registration layout using Visio to include counters, furniture, kiosks, electric, WIFI, signage, etc.
  • Schedule, hire and train all on-site temps while managing costs. Supervise registration vendors, temporary staff, and contractors pre-show and on-site.
  • Work with Sponsorship Fulfillment team to coordinate registration sponsorships for web registration pages and on-site at registration areas.
  • Responsible for the development, distribution and monitoring of registration weekly, onsite and post show reports and data analysis.
  • Assist and guide Client Services, Customer Success, and show teams with various customer problems and inquiries.
  • Process purchase orders and payments for temporary staff, vendor, and contractor invoices.
  • Partner with all levels of staff in each department throughout the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent business training or experience.

Two or more years of registration experience strongly preferred.

Project management experience required.

Must have strong organizational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills, and be able to handle multiple projects and successfully meet deadlines.

Must have the ability to develop and analyze budgets, forecasts, and contracts. Must confidently communicate with vendors, agencies, associations, partners and all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

Marketing aptitude and/or experience a plus.

Critical thinker and complex problem solver.

Ability to work in fast past, demanding environment.

Expertise in the Windows environment also necessary.

Excel knowledge of simple formulas and formatting.

Ability to manage client, vendor, association, and team relations daily.

Significant travel required.
