Job Summary
Come Join us at the Good Samaritan Society - Ambassador (New Hope, MN), we are a 77 bed facility specializing in Long Term and Post-Acute care. Our Award winning team has received recognition from the American Health Care Association for our Adopt and Elder volunteer program and we received the Bronze commitment to quality award.
Recently in a KSTP interview MN GOV Tim Waltz said "This is what the future looks like and the hopefulness that is there" in referring to our facility being COVID free and our vaccine roll out for residents and staff.
Director of Nursing Kim S. "This is the light at the end of the tunnel and it has truly been something special for us"..."I want my residents and their loved ones to be able to safely hug each other without distance between them and that physical touch is just so important, and that's what this vaccine represents." Adheres to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation. Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas. Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery. Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible to patients/residents, co-workers, team members and guests.
Prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals to residents following orders, standards, and regulations.
Assist with development of pleasing and unique recipes and menu creation
Responsible for kitchen/dining management as assigned, including delegation of kitchen cleanliness and education/training of cleaning policies
Work at special events (i.e., open houses, group meetings, special meals, brunches etc.) as needed; sets up and cleans dining room, multi-purpose rooms or other rooms as needed; helps prepare and serve food for special events
Follows location infection control procedures and OSHA and CDC guidelines that apply to blood borne pathogens while serving food, assisting residents and cleaning
Cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned
