Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Enterprise Excellence Director US & EMEA, this position will drive the Enterprise Excellence strategy in our site of Chelmsford, Ma. As the EEx Manager, you will lead a small team and partner with key business leaders in the Chelmsford Site to build a high-performing culture and management system that ensures the best experience for our customers and our employees.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing development and execution of the integrated lean management system that aligns shop floor management and people development activities to achieve the company targets and support the succession pipeline.
o Ensure the foundational skills for daily problem solving, standard work and kaizen are in place for ideal daily work.
o Align daily shop floor activities with flow controls and the site's strategic KPIs, goals, and objectives
o Engage and empower all levels of the organization in daily problems solving and continuous improvement habits and routines through effective team structures and lean leadership development
o Make problems visible, drive accountability, and manage daily priorities effectively
o Stop daily firefighting and become in control of your processes
o Support on-the-job development of team members throughout the value stream
o Gain control of processes so teams can focus on daily improvement
o Create the structure, routines, and habits so Lean Thinking becomes everyone's way of working
• Lead the Continuous Cost Improvement Process (CIP) for the site, ensuring there is a continuous pipeline of improvement activities and projects identified, managed, and delivered on to meet the annual CIP commitments for the site.
• Champion the Quality Excellence program for the campus to support the attainment of the site defect and scrap reduction commitments. Scope involves the roll-out of Robust Processes, Training Effectiveness, Practical Problem Solving, and Quality at source.
• Optimise the flow of information and materials throughout the end-to-end value stream for all product families of the site to ensure we deliver on our service and delivery commitments. Drive the implementation of level loading, repetitive manufacturing, pull systems, line-side Kanban and materials replenishment, and standard inventory controls.
• Facilitate the development and execution of a long-term transformation strategy for the site that results in a high-performing culture.
• Serves as a coach and mentor for all operational leaders in developing enterprise excellence and general leadership skills. Develop and implement sustainable processes to drive the ongoing growth and development of lean leadership capabilities. Develop the capabilities and skills of the Site Lean Champions through hands-on coaching and mentoring.
• Provide hands-on training to management and production teams in Continuous Improvement practices, methods, and tools
• Advance the overall maturity of the site towards Enterprise Excellence as a result of all the above responsibilities.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Primary degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or Science. MBA is desirable.
• Proven record in leading significant transformational improvements and delivering breakthrough results.
• Extensive understanding and application of Lean Thinking throughout large organizations (500+ employees). Certification in Lean Thinking or key elements of Lean is a requirement.
• Minimum of 10 years overall business experience and 5+ years leadership and management experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must be fluent in English

• Travel as required for the tasks to be completed (~95% domestic, ~5% international)
