Position Overview:
Process member enrollment from paper applications, spreadsheets and electronic transactions, for new and existing commercial groups. Ensure entries are complete, accurate, and processed within designated timeframes. Determine creditable coverage, update member records upon receipt of verified information, and request ID cards and letters as necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
Enter data for new subscribers and dependents, with a high level of speed and accuracy, utilizing desktops, policies, and applicable state and federals laws. Update subscriber demographic information based on enrollment applications and spreadsheets, and modify coverage selections for customized plans, maintaining data integrity. Communicate with other internal teams regarding missing enrollment information or validation of application data. Process special enrollments per current entry and audit procedures. Review applications with unusual circumstances with Team Trainer or Team Leader. Verify prior creditable coverage when necessary. Prepare, process and audit enrollment from mass plan changes for renewal business. Audit data entries made to ensure enrollment is accurate and complete. Complete tasks as defined on monthly duty roster. Resolve identified errors based on Quality Control's daily audit, and PacificSource Relative Index of Service Measures (PRISM) audits for paper and electronic enrollments, to prevent future errors. Meet department accuracy standards and PRISM measures. Respond to internal customers regarding application processing status on specific enrollment applications. Assist in the development, updates and revisions to job aids and policies and procedures. Assist in the testing, design, and change implementation to internal systems and processes.
Supporting Responsibilities:
Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations. Participate in LEAN Board daily review, team/department meetings, mentor training, and team building activities. Support goals and responsibilities, regardless of varying state rules and guidelines. Participate in various committees, interoffice meetings, and attend Mentor Lessons as scheduled Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information. Perform other duties as assigned.
SUCCESS PROFILE
Work Experience: Minimum of two years prior office work experience with strong keyboarding and 10-key skills required. Experience with Excel is required.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge: Ability to understand and interpret Federal, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Idaho State laws and PacificSource contract provisions. Excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills. Ability to adhere to company and department policies and meet expectations for service, accuracy and efficiency.
