How will you make an impact?

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with other dedicated scientists and engineers within Environmental and Processing Monitoring business group. You will have the opportunity to develop and support a wide range of analytical instrumentation with combination of different knowledge. The role involves collaboration with other specialists within R&D and other functional group outside R&D through the product lifecycle.

What will you do?

  • Understand electronics system/PCBA specification, and key components/modules to meet performance and system fit requirements
  • Coordinate with multi-functional team for ECR investigation, update, test and ECN implementation
  • Conduct component selection, schematic entry and signal analysis to optimize PCB layout and ensure reliable performance.
  • Collaborate with contractors, prototype vendors, and fabrication facilities to deliver electronic modules/PCBAs
  • Perform peer review and verification tests for component alternates, modules, PCBA, and system
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation such as specification, design analysis and verification results
  • Work with multi-functional team and project development team to coordinate priority and test, ensure projects on schedule, meet specification, smooth production and cost target
  • All other duties as assigned
How will you get here?
  • This position minimally requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant electronic/system experience.
  • Experience in using industry-standard PCB design tools, such as Altium Designer
  • Previous design experience for instrumentation and PCBA
  • Hands-on extensive experience performing electronic bench work - demonstrable competency with industry tools and techniques for test and measurement
  • Experience with electrical industry standards
  • Experience with ECR and ECN process
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Positive learning demeanor and collaboration oriented
  • Proficiency in electronic circuit/system analysis, design, test and trouble shooting
  • Familiarity with industry standards and requirements such as IPC, IEC61010, EMC
  • Attention for details such as documenting requirements, procedures and verification results
  • Coordination with external team or contractors, priority oriented multi-tasking capability
