RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Embedded Application Software Developer in Bolingbrook, IL.Responsibilities of the Senior Embedded Application Software Developer:

• The Senior Embedded Application Software Developer will create software for the company's innovative technological solutions that sustain and enhance the operations, safety, and efficiency of the world's transportation systems
• Collaborating with the teams that build our backend interfaces and participating in specification reviews necessary to create exciting new features
• Work with customers to understand interface requirements of systems with which we integrate and to provide support for field deployments
• Validating new product solutions compliance to PD standards through a combination of unit, integration, acceptance, and field testing
• Solving complex problems given minimal information
• Supporting and improving our quality processes including developing and executing automated unit tests and participating in design sessions and code reviews
• Using version control (e.g. Git), test driven development, mobbing and other best practices
• Growing your expertise by partnering with our outstanding SAFe team

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related degree with 5+ years' experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in writing embedded applications in C++ language (preferred) or similar language
• Experience designing, implementing, testing, and deploying software for complex embedded IOT systems within an Agile framework

Proficiency in:

• Source control tools such as Git, TFVC, Clearcase
• Development workflow tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps/TFS, Clearquest
• IDE tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse
• Experience working in a collaborative Agile development environment
• Serial bus message decoding knowledge
• Proficiency in using embedded windows
• Experience with Architecting embedded applications (desired)
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to twice a year, for up to four days at a time)
• Ability to collaborate across business teams in alignment with our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) operating model
