The Position
This position is a member of the Engineering Department. The Electrical Programming Engineer Co-op will report directly to the Controls Engineering Manager.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Control system programming:
- PLC Programming
- HMI Programming
- Communication network design
- System documentation and manual creation
- Documentation and testing of new software applications
- Assessment of new application ideas
- Designing new or updating old applications based on customer needs
Education
- In the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree or associate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with multiple programming languages. Experience with PLCs and robotics a plus.
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft excel
