The Manufacturing Value Steam Leader is responsible for sustaining a safe work environment, leading a team of employees to assemble a high-quality product and achieve productivity goals as set by the Production Manager. The Value Stream Leader will also drive and sustain 80/20 principles, 6S initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 5 years of electrical experience

Forklift Operator License is required

Travel: 0-10%

Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, or 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday depending on assigned shift. Overtime may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for demonstrating and ensuring all employees are following company policies in regards to Safety.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality checks are conducted on all products as outlined in departmental quality control on inspection procedures and be able to recognize product outside the specified tolerance.
  • Responsible for a clean and orderly work area at all times according to 5S principles.
  • Actively involved in 80/20 initiatives and utilizes MRD process.
  • Responsible for leading all aspects of production and product quality as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and assigning of crews to achieve customers' expectations.
  • Able to convert production drawings to tasks and works with their crews to complete them.
  • Able to attend startup meetings and visit job sites as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Able to provide customer service and answer questions from the field as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Demonstrates the ability to do advanced paperwork (cost transfer, material ordering).
  • Responsible for overall team performance as measured against key safety, quality and production metrics.
  • Responsible for training of new employees and identifying deficiencies.
  • Provides Performance Evaluation Feedback.
  • Ensure effective employee relations.
  • Lead and influence plant employees to participate in the implementation of improvement projects.
  • Responsible for managing small orders and walk-in work for up to two manufacturing cells.
  • Provides employee coaching and development - gives employee performance reviews.
  • Responsible for identifying resource needs and providing work direction for a team of up to about 10 direct reports.
  • Is the lead Excellerate Point of Contact (Customer Service agent) for up to four small to medium scope jobs, as defined by the Production Manager.
  • Maintains all relevant trade licenses and certifications.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
