We are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Franklin Park, IL. The Electrical Maintenance Technician works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance tasks to ensure electrical equipment and controls are fully operational and safe.

Pay Range - $34.00 to $43.00 per hour (plus sign on bonus)

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform needed maintenance, repair or rebuild of electrical equipment/motors and direct support of production operating needs.
* Evaluate electrical equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur, or improvements are needed
* Participate in planning activities and manage various plant utilities that can include chiller, air compressor, security system & fire protection system.
* Complete process and preventive maintenance work orders. Capture and communicate associated data
* Maintain plant electrical systems on equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, motors, pneumatics, automated controls and pumps
* Troubleshoot electrical issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment.
* Install and monitor current monitoring systems
* Calibrate controls instrumentation
* Maintain and enhance electrical and PLC troubleshooting
* Install, maintain, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
* Set up and operate power tools, drill motor, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools and other metal working equipment
* Assist with fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment
* Comply and participate regulatory, Carlisle, & departmental policies, procedures, & standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS)
* Work with mechanical maintenance technicians to help develop their electrical skills
* As directed execute projects on an as needed basis
* Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

* Ability to read and interpret industrial documents and electrical drawings
* Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, level controls, AC/DC drives, VFD etc
* Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA, etc
* Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills
* Ability to identify the need for repair/rebuild industrial machinery such as motors, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, etc
* Knowledge of CMMS, SAP, MS programs
* Demonstrated ability to utilize electrical instrumentation (megohmmeter)
* Awareness of fluid motion systems, HVAC systems, dust collection systems, robotics, metering systems, etc
* Inter-Personnel Skills - Including the ability to be a team player. The ability to pass on information & training to others.
* Understanding of OSHA and industrial safety protocols
* Safety certifications
* Ability to operate mobile equipment safely

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred
* Experience working as a electrical technician in an industrial manufacturing environment
* Technical military specialties considered
