Location: Kansas City
Travel: 50%-75% (US and Canada)
What You Will Be Doing The Electrical Field Supervisor / Electrical Field Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in electrical estimating, engineering, construction, commissioning, project documentation and follow-up.


- Organize, supervise and manage daily contractor activities.
- Track progress of electrical installations.
- Verify engineering drawings; red-line as required.
- Help define engineering needs and priorities.
- Assist with scheduling and progress reporting.
- Proposes solutions for electrical challenges faced at the job site.
- Liaison between on-site challenges and the electrical engineering team at the home office.
- Communicates to Site Manager, Project Manager, and Electrical Manager the progress, potential challenges, and schedule for installations.
- Lead and manage commissioning activities.
- Verify work quality, integrity, and conformity.
- Assist electricians with technical or code related questions.
- Help propose solutions to problems.
- Ensure safety practices are maintained.
What You Need for this Position - 3+ Years of experience working for an Industrial Process Design, Electrical or commissioning company
- Able to troubleshoot and/or calibrate electrical devices such as motor starters, soft starters, VFDs, PLC,s, level switches, belt scales, radar level sensors, zero-speed switches, etc.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NFPA Articles 70, 70E, 79).
- Demonstrated experience with electrical design projects including coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in low & medium voltage power distribution, equipment/protective device sizing, and power system studies.
- Demonstrated experience with single line diagrams, area classifications, power and control schematics, wiring design, lighting and grounding design, and electrical installation details.
