Suez Water Technologies & Solutions is currently searching for an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the production of water filtration products. The production of water purification filters is a growing business which addresses the ever-increasing need for water. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong engineer technician to support our manufacturing facility. Come be a part of this exciting and growing technology!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet Environmental/Health/Safety (EHS), production, quality, and cost savings goals within schedule and budget Interface with vendors and internal contacts
  • Improve quality, uptime and yield of manufacturing processes including documenting process changes, driving process / fixture improvements, driving lead and cycle time improvements, and cost of quality (COQ)
  • Ensure EHS compliance and support culture to continuously improve Safety performance
  • Create process characterization documentation, and operationalize documentation use through effective communication, training, and sustainment actions
  • Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical / historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements.
  • Develops expert knowledge in instrument and electrical aspects of operations.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive and predictive maintenance requirements on machinery and electrical equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Performs skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician with vocational certification in related field or high school diploma/GED with 3 to 5+ years related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of plant manufacturing or supply chain experience.
  • Possesses knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable laws, rules, and standards regulating electrical construction and installation practices.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to perform frequent lifting and bending motions, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to utilize manual dexterity when manipulating materials to filter housings, as required.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Legal Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening
  • Proficient in computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with water filtration products
  • Experience developing process control recipes, adding control logic & alarming to enhance process control, and developing and installing HMI graphics
  • Experience in building or sourcing parts/equipment for new and existing unit operations
  • Experience with data analysis tools
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement
