What We Are Looking For

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design and development of facility electrical power equipment. This role provides engineering support for design, integration, operation, and sustaining of electrical equipment and systems. The Electrical Engineer participates in all stages of development from design to facility support and system integration. You will work with systems essential for manufacturing and producing Panduit products, including facility main power supply, various manufacturing equipment (molding machines, extruders, etc.), and UPS systems.

What You Will Do
  • Perform routine and non-routine engineering assignments by following defined processes, procedures, and instructions
  • Conduct technical investigations
  • Interpret customer specifications to define requirements for systems design
  • Perform engineering analysis of power electrical circuits and systems
  • Develop electrical plans and specifications for small to medium sized projects with minimal supervision
  • Review shop drawings and assist with general construction services
  • Review and manage short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies
  • Prepare reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress/results
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve building electrical issues; escalate problems and roadblocks as they occur
What You Will Bring
  • Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in facilities maintenance and design and distribution in main infrastructures
  • Must be up to date with National Engineering Codes (NEC)
  • Certification: Engineer in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE). Registered Professional Engineer preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with Lighting Calculation Software (AGI, Visual, etc.)
